Color can be a powerful tool in any artists tool kit, but oftentimes people get overwhelmed thinking about color past the primary and secondary colors. This presentations will show you what a color is, how to use it effectively, what colors actually have psychological effects on humans and what other design aspects we can treat like colors.

From Polymer to Precious: Streamlining Sculpting in Metal Clay

Presenter – Terri Hickey, USA

Terri Hickey is a Cleveland based artist working in Metal Clay & Enamel. She graduated from the University of Illinois in fashion manufacturing and worked designing & developing clothing lines for various companies.

In 2009, she was introduced to Metal Clay, fell in love, and began taking classes and workshops from well-known metal clay artists. Her fascination with glass soon led her to explore enamels. Since then, she has worked with some of today’s leading enamel artists.

Terri is involved with the MC community serving as a Board Member, Virtual Guild and LCVA team members for AMCAW. She is the president of the Metal Clay & Jewelry Arts Guild of NE Ohio. She is a certified metal clay instructor from Rio Grande and Art Clay, and a member of the Enamellist Society. Terri teaches locally at several art centers and teaches enameling workshops on the go or in her home studio.
