Presenter – Annemarie Klappe, The Netherlands
Annemarie Klappe is a Metal Clay Teacher & Artist from the Netherlands. She lives and works in an historic monument build around 1640. Her jewelry reflects the love for old craftmanship and has a vintage feel. She is inspired by nature and loves to sculpt flowers, curls as well as birds and insects. She can spend hours patiently sculpting tiny elements ‘building’ a piece with high attention to detail.
She loves learning and experimenting and translating the techniques to fun classes. She strongly feels that sharing information helps the metal clay community to grow as well as the individual artists. She jumped to the opportunity to volunteer for AMCAW and was part of the team developing the Mastery Modules as well as writing several tutorials.
Over the years she has followed many masterclasses by various international artists, because she loves learning new skills and improving techniques.
Fortunately there is always room for improvement because there is so much to learn and discover.
